You should install the patch to the same folder where AvP2 is installed. From what I saw, you had the files frst in Program Files, then on your desktop.
When the installer runs, point it to the folder where AvP2 is installed, that should make it work

I have a question.

Do servers have to install any certain file, or whatever to appear on your server list? I would like to play in Frosty's Playhouse, and it doesn't show up on the list. If there is something Frosty needs to do, I will let him know.

Last night Legend and I played in a server that came up on the list, quite successfully. Four servers showed up on the list and the one I was able to join showed the map. The other three said "Unknown".

I read the other thread and have put in the command line "-rez AVP2P5.rez". Thanks for the hint KingKenny

I brought up the list and 15 servers showed up.

Frosty must use the modded server we have prepared, or use rommies updated server.

I did install it to the Aliens vs Predator 2 folder but that isn't my problem although that's the first problem I ran into since it wouldn't let me install it there unless I moved it to the desktop "I moved it back after that though"

My problem right now is that going to "Find game" exits the program when it looks for the servers.

Wow this works great, I'm running Vista 64 Bit and was already afraid that it wouldn't run, but no problems at all - it's awesome! Server list still needs some fixing of course with the pings and stuff and it takes like forever (10 seocnds) every time you change the filters (Team DM, Evac, All etc.) but I'm certain those issues will be fixed. It's awesome what you did for everybody, THANK YOU!

Yeah it looks great but I just wish it would work for me but I am about to give up hope and just reinstall the game and hope it works then.

Where can these modded servers be downloaded?

http://rommie.lithfaq.com - for rommies version. Ours is included with the patch.

I noticed some people talking about "Xfire" and "Gamespy" I have no idea what these are and I think I have always connected right through the game so do I need to download something extra because I have no idea what I am doing or should I wait until they update it?


I'm sorry I'm asking so many questions but this mod looks great and I am just trying to figure out why it is making the program close.
