Said to be a beta console version ported on the PC, I played for a nice amount even tho my computer whent into standby mode a couple of times. The game would freeze at the searching match interface, but overall disappointment how it all is so automatically done, pretty much making the player not in charge of it. The kill move is pretty easily done and got whored all over the place.I hope this gameplay will not stay like this, perhaps I'm judging too early but if this will be consolized and it feels like this then I might just pass this one. We'll know with the retail i guess ... 2/10 for this taste of a promising title ...

1st impressions ain't that good.

Marine:
Feels slow and clunky, can't sprint and shoot plus you can only sprint for about 5 secs.
Huge recoil on pulse/hard to keep on target.
Smart gun sounded like a mini-gun.
Don't like the floating icons for ammo/health etc
No crouch - Some people say who cares about crouch, but I like it so I can hide behind a crate, better aim etc..

Alien:
Felt slow (again). Not like the glide feeling with AvP2, no pounce (maybe you can use transition); I wasn't able to attack while wallwalking.
Only 1 Alien Class?

Haven't played Pred and TBH I haven't played much at all (1/2 hour or so); So it's kinda moot the I'm giving an opinion - Still 1st impressions.

Yup felt "consoled".
Not mad keen on the XP/Kill streak/Rank stuff going on.
I hope there's gonna be an .ini/.cfg file for Tweaking in the final release.

It does look very good and has good atmosphere.

Why I cant check my ping ? Why I cant turn off the motion blur ? WHY MY MOUSE LAGS ? Why i have to wait 30 minutes to find a server to play ? This game is a 100% console port.

I too wasn't overly impressed with this game. Don't get me wrong after awhile and i got used to it, (the lag, the sloth like speeds). It was semi-fun....
But I have to agree the marine seemed slow...
the Alien acted as though he was covered in glue he was so slow...
The Pred.... ehhh slow...
This Demo definitely lacks the speed and intensity of good old AvP2, But damn its alot prettier..lol.
Now granted its only a demo but it like so many other games have gone the way of console porting.
This really chaps my ass.... this of course means shitty pings, no SDKs, no ded servers... very much like F.E.A.R. 2, Call of duty Modern Warfare 2, and a few other titles out there.

Tis a sad day friends.... I am noticing a trend and I fear we are seeing the end of true PC games....
especially those we would love to make maps and mods for......except for maybe the source games.

i dont know what demo is like but, do you start out as a facehugger or right away drone/warrior...
is there a option to host a server so you can see if there is a option to be a facehugger?

Well, not all games go in that direction. Indie games (Natural Selection 2, Overgrowth) actually do provide tools etc. Those people are aware that communities give life to games.

There is no life cycle in SP or MP.

better be in actul game or i slap sega.....want to at least facehug a predator.....

Nope, it's confirmed that you don't start the alien campaign as a hugger. And about MP, they may add LC but I doubt it ant probably there won't be a pred alien skin in multiplayer.
